  I'm a voracious reader and I'm really into topics like this, but I've yet to encounter a really good book about learning. A lot of them are gimmicky or not based in science. So your best bet (if you really want to buy something) might be a psychol.   A skill acquisition plan is the written plan which is developed by the Behavior Analyst that contains information about behavior programming for the purposes of teaching certain skills.

Learning to read is the acquisition and practice of the skills necessary to understand the meaning behind printed a fairly good reader, the skill of reading should feel simple, effortless, and automatic. However, the process of learning to read is complex and builds on cognitive, linguistic, and social skills developed from a very early age. Acquisition of skill is a type of learning in which repetition results in enduring changes in an individual’s capability to perform a specific task.
